The MCRT® 88700V will accurately measure low running and high load torque without the cost and inconvenience of swapping two or more conventional torque sensors.

The MCRT® 88700V Series Dual Range Torquemeters from S. Himmelstein and Company accurately measure torque even if the ratio of peak to average torque is high. Such conditions occur when starting, stopping or reversing high inertia loads, during torsional oscillations, and in diesel and single cylinder engine/compressor drivelines. Under these conditions, a conventional torquemeter must be oversized to avoid damage, a process that greatly reduces accuracy.

Additionally, when peak torques are unknown, the MCRT® 88700V reduces the risk of damage from unexpected or accidental torque spikes.

Dual Range Torquemeters from S. Himmelstein have high accuracy in real-world applications, not just in the cal lab. They have the industries highest Overrange ratings, which avoids clipping real-world torque peaks and driveline torsionsals. Without sufficient Overrange, clipped torques will produce large measurement errors.

Dual Range Torquemeters from S. Himmelstein and Company have a LOW range that is 20% of its' HIGH range. Three simultaneous analog outputs can be individually set to 5 or 10 volts at each range full scale. Overrange is 150% to 300% and mechanical overload is 200% of the HIGH range and 1,000% of the LOW range. Digital output of torque, and speed and power with option Z, is available over the resident RS232 serial port. Included software interfaces with Windows based PC's for data display and collection as well as instrument setup.

S. Himmelstein and Company manufactures a full line of shaft, spline, flange, pulley, wheel and reaction torquemeters, and other torque measuring instruments.
