Low Capacity MCRT® Torquemeter
10 to 200 OZ-IN Ranges

S. Himmelstein and Company introduced the new model MCRT® 28000T and MCRT®29000T low capacity non-contact torquemeters. These robust torque sensors measure static and dynamic torque with fast response and 0.1% accuracy, traceable to the NIST. Ten models are available with full scale ranges from 10 to 200 oz-in.

MCRT® 28000T models have a 200 percent overload capacity while the MCRT® 29000T models have 400 percent overload capacity. Their ferrite-free signal transformer is immune to vibration, hydraulic fluids and harsh environments. Operation is bi-directional from stall to maximum speed. Beryllium copper shafts, splash proofing and permanent lubrication enhance performance and provide long, maintenance-free life. New technology makes the MCRT® 29000T insensitive to severe electromagnetic interference (EMI) from IGBT-based adjustable speed drives. A dual track 512 pulse per revolution encoder is available as an option for speed/position measurement.

Applications include measurement and control of motors, stepper motors, small pumps and fans or small gear and belt drives. MCRT® 28000T and MCRT® 29000T’s are used to verify performance, load control and accurate load determination.
