Spline Drive Torquemeters with High Level Outputs

S. Himmelstein and Company introduced the new MCRT 48550V and 48551V dc operated, torquemeters with spline drives per AND 10262 & AND 20002.  These robust torque sensors measure driveline torque with fast response and 0.1% accuracy, traceable to the NIST. Very easy to use, they interface directly to PC and PLC Controllers and Data Acquisition Systems.

These torquemeters will mate with and support test components meeting the specified spline standards.  They feature bi-directional operation from stall to maximum speed, dual "5 volt outputs, signal filtering, and remote calibration. Stainless steel shafts, splash proofing and permanent lubrication enhance performance and provide long, maintenance-free life.  Models are available in ranges from 50 to 10,000 LB-IN with 200 percent overload capacity.  All versions incorporate advanced, noise reduction technology that hardens these sensors to EMI generated by IGBT based adjustable speed drives.

Ferrite free rotary transformers connect torque sensing gages to the integral noise immune carrier amplifier.  Rotary transformers don’t generate noise or wear, and are immune to vibration, lubricants and other hostile environments.  These unique, ferrite free models are not susceptible to cracking and impact induced damage.
